UPDATED 9/10/2012 - I received a lot of emails and a few comments about this file no longer being available. Somehow it disappeared from the account I had it hosted on; however, I re-uploaded the file and it is now AVAILABLE! Please let me know if it doesn't work again in the future. Thank you & enjoy! :)
I love stripes. I also love chevron stripes and I am most certainly not alone. I see the pattern on rugs, dressers, clothes, invitations and announcements, websites, and tons of other places! I love them so much I created six different Chevron Stripe Photoshop patterns for you to download and use as you wish - FREE! Click on the graphic above to download or click here.
I have been seeing these stripes everywhere! And I have to admit, I am loving them :) I think they're funky yet classier than the usual stripes :) Great find!

Totally took them for my twitter bg!
ReplyDeleteHi I LOVE the Chevron pattern. Thanks for sharing! I have a question is like digital paper. I'm trying to upload it and use it but it's not working. Is pattern a different thing in photoshop? If so I'm new to it! Can you explain how to use it? Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! Thank you for downloading the pattern! These aren't technically "digital papers" but they can be made into them. In the file you will see a .pat file as well as .png files. If you have Photoshop, right click on the .pat file and click "Open With > Photoshop" and it will automatically open into your patterns repository. Then you can go to your Paint Bucket Tool, change the fill from Foreground to Pattern and locate the pattern from the little box to the right of your fill options. You can then click on the blank file you would like to use as a digital paper and it will seamlessly fill the entire area. These patterns were more created for use in blog/web design designs or something to that nature so depending on how large you create your file the chevron stripes may be fairly small.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have Photoshop, you can use the .png files to copy and paste as needed. They are seamless so they will line up vertically & horizontally.
Awesome advice. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
DeleteTHANKS! I'm a newbie and that helps!!
DeleteThank you so much for sharing this. It was an awesome help to a poor beginner. :)
DeleteThanks for sharing! I just love chevron.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to use your papers for a card I am making and when I pull it up in photoshop it is teeny tiny and very pixelated when i try to make it bigger! Any way I can make it bigger without it looking all distorted?? I am pretty new to this stuff and I am probably totally missing something so any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks and thanks for the feebie!!
ReplyDeleteI love that is is really big but when I tried to use the pattern it was little chevron stripes!! Sorry to bug you!
Hi Brooke! The patterns were created more for web use so unfortunately they're going to be small if they're used on something that was meant for print. I'm going to be releasing more chevron patterns that include high-res ones for that type of use as well because it's something I've had a lot of requests for so please check back this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for downloading them - hopefully these next ones will be more of what you're looking for :)
So nice! =)

ReplyDeleteDownloaded these today. Just love how easy they are to work with. We must have a different version of Photoshop because the directions for use as a texture were different, but once we figured it out, they worked great. Thank you so much for allowing users to benefit from all your hard work.
