Gettin' Skinny (Attempt #4862)

September 17, 2012

Last week, Jenn posted a photo on Instagram of the Gaiam FitPlan journals she saw at Target. I had never seen it before and it looked interesting so I was all "Hell yeah, I'm going to get me on tomorrow!" But I ended up not going to Target because Walmart is closer and then I sort of forgot about it.

This morning, however, something happened. Something really, really bad. My jeans didn't fit. My shorts didn't fit. I had to go dig through the jeans I put away last year that were TOO BIG. Of course, those fit perfectly. I traded in my chocolate chip muffin for an apple and my 24oz vanilla cappuccino for a 16oz pumpkin spice latte at Kum & Go this morning. And now I'm so ready to get serious about losing weight. I'm going to go check these journals out plus I think I'm going to order the Insanity Fast & Furious DVD for days that I'm not able to go to the gym. I tried the regular Insanity for about two weeks and had really good results but the workouts were just too dang long to do by myself in my living room and I got bored really fast. Plus, it really killed my knees and shins. I'm also going to check out those journals I mentioned above.

I have something else planned, too. I'll let you know about it Friday. I'm starting my "diet" and exercise crap (yeah) today and will be updating on my progress (or lack thereof) every Friday. Now, don't worry. I probably won't be posting pictures of the food I eat. I mean, I'm sure everyone has seen enough salads and tuna sandwiches by now to have a pretty good idea of what they look like. I might post what I've been eating... if I can remember it by then.

Anyone else trying to get fit/lose weight/not get fat?

    1. I have trouble too! I do pretty good for a few weeks and then I get over it and give it up. Or I start thinking "Well.. one day of not working won't make or break me" but that one day leads to like.. a week, haha. Booooo.

    1. I'm DEFINITELY more focused on getting toned than actually losing weight! I think that's most of my problem but I do have some fat that needs to G-O.

  3. I have given up. I just can't stick with anything. My attention span is negative zero when it comes to working out. It's so much more fun to sit on the couch. I don't have issues with food. I don't eat very much at all. I just eat at the wrong times and my soda intake is ridiculous. I'm hoping I can find some motivation through you. I know I would feel a heck of a lot better if I did work out. Good luck, beautiful!

  4. YOU ARE NOT FAT! lol Did you eat too much salt? Are you about to get your period...ohhh no no wait, ARE YOU PREGNANT?! you know i'm kidding about that last question right. Anyway, I'm working on myself too, and you're right, Insanity is way too long! I get bored but I like the results. I'm going to get Fast & Furious too! I never heard of it until you posted about it so thanks! I need to go google that journal you're talking about.

  5. Hah me too!! I'm just not motivated to get out after work anymore. I'll do a couple of classes but it doesn't make me excited like climbing does. :( I miss climbing... I was so in shape without even trying.

  6. Yes mam! Once pay day hits this week, I am going to figure out a regiment for myself and probably get one of those journals. I woke up this morning telling myself how I wanted to do a week or two of clean eating and how my face looks so puffy from all this crappy eating & treating my body like a trash can. I always say I'm going to do it and then I never do. This time, I am. I really want to. Barely any of my shorts fit and they are size 7's! Let's DO THIS! We should get a group of girls together to document their journey to a healthier & better lifestyle! I remember being healthy and I remember how I looked. I REALLY miss it and need to get it back before I hit 30 in a few years!

  8. Hahaha, I laughed at the title. I have seen insanity work on some of my friends and really it's beyond amazing!

Just consider your health in all things that you do!
