From the Weekend.

August 13, 2012

I'm a little bummed. A lot bummed, actually. I had planned to share this amazing summer recipe with you guys today but it was a disaster. Now, don't get me wrong, it tasted great! But the photos were TER-RI-BLE. I'm going to attempt it again sometime this week. I know what I did wrong so I know what to fix.

So, I'll share some photos from the weekend instead. Not much happened. One of my friends/ex co-worker had a birthday party for her son on Saturday that Aiden and I went to. He had sooo much fun and was totally worn out after we left. On Sunday, I ran a couple of miles around the local university's track while Aiden hung out and played his Nintendo DS! He ran around a few times too. Just trying to combat childhood obesity, y'all. After all, Arkansas is the 8th fattest state in the country. I have to say, I'm not surprised. Going to Wal-Mart is like an obstacle course in itself trying to weave your way down the aisles past big bottoms and low hanging bellies. I'm going to stop now before I get too mean.

Those strawberries? They were part of the recipe I was going to post.

  4. I can't wait to see the real actual recipe :) why were the pictures so bad? I find that I get the best food pictures with natural light so I have to make things before dark :P that's going to be hard in the winter!

    1. Because it involved whipped cream and the whipped cream melted too fast lol. It looked like it was in a puddle of milk.
